The Quad Club – in association with Sir Matthew Pinsent
The Quad Club name has been adopted as a celebration of the four rowers (Sir Matthew Pinsent, Sir Steve Redgrave, James Cracknell OBE and Tim Foster MBE) who triumphed at the Millennium Olympic Games in Sydney when Matthew Pinsent won his third Olympic Gold Medal (and Redgrave his fifth) in the final of the coxless four.
The name also refers to the 'Quadriceps', the muscle group which is such an important muscle for many sports but especially in rowing.
The Quad Club was pleased to confirm its first member as now quadruple Olympic Gold medal winner and oarsman, Sir Matthew Pinsent. Matthew has endorsed the Quad Club by personally approving the range of fitness facilities available and the operating standards of the club.
“As a member, I believe The Quad Club has an extremely well qualified team and their operating standards are excellent”
